This driving, yet intimate collection of songs flow from an encounter Julie had while singing with her team at IHOP.

”We were singing through Revelation 4:1. ‘I looked and behold a door standing open in heaven and…a voice saying…Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.’ Something inside me just leaped and I knew, this is mine, this is for me, God you said the door is open. Here I am.”

”In a new way, I believed that God wanted to encounter me as much as He wanted to speak to preachers, the prophetic voices and other leaders. So much of my life has been spent saying, ‘I want to know God like so and so.’ Then one day I just said this is mine and I am going for it.”….said Julie.

After that, Julie says she began a different kind of pursuit. Dreams were given and songs began to flow.

The project’s intensely intimate title track “Longing For The Day,” connects into the core of a believer’s heart, the need to see Jesus face to face longing for His return!

”I Want To Know God” draws the listener to simply be with God, to sit with Him and share the secrets of His heart.

This recording also includes a “bonus” track on which Julie shares a dream she had which inspired her to write many of these songs.

These songs were written as Julie either led worship or sang with a team at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.

These songs have all come from the Song of Songs, the greatest love song ever written by King Solomon.

The worship and devotion and praise found in these scriptures are skillfully composed into fresh upbeat songs and also the calming ballads Julie is known for writing.

Her son Isaac is featured on this album as he plays the electric guitar and sings in various songs.

This album was recorded digitally at various worship conferences and other times of worship.

People have been asking for years that her spontaneous songs be recorded and we are pleased to release this first of many.

Julie has been learning to sing "spontaneously"since 1983. Her pastor encouraged her to sing what was stirring in her heart, privately and then on the microphone. He knew she had a song-writing gift and hoped that the "song of the Lord" could be developed for personal and instant public expression.

These spontaneous songs have blessed many people for many years and we were able to capture some of the best ones!

This album was recorded in the mid-90's and is a collection of beautiful love songs to, and about, our Lord Jesus. At a conference in Kansas City, Julie sang a special rendition of the famous Titanic love-theme, with the lyrics redirected towards the Lord. Demand for this song was high and it's included on this album. This album also contains 'Dance of the Bride', for those of you who are preparing to meet your Bridegroom!

This CD is a new re-release of 'Send Your Rain' and 'In My Father's House'. These two albums are combined into one digitally remastered CD and contain most of Julie's songs from the early prayer meetings in Kansas City (1985 and 1986).
